Ziao Zeng | Zezelia Olson | Mike Smoller

Xiao Zeng.  Zoee is a painter whose work is deeply influenced by her upbringing in China and her later experiences in the United States. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant memories of her childhood, she captures the essence of simplicity and playfulness that often gets lost in adulthood. Her art marries the minimalist elegance of Eastern aesthetics with the bold, colorful expressions of Western styles. Through whimsical interpretation of childhood memories, Zoee aims to evoke a sense of nostalgia and joy, inviting viewers to reconnect with the beauty found in everyday moments. In a world that often rushes past the mundane, her paintings serve as a gentle reminder of the magic inherent in simplicity. By celebrating the innocence and wonder of formative years, Zoee hopes to inspire a renewed appreciation for the subtle joys that surround us.

Zezelia Olson. Olson is a visual artist based in Austin, Texas whose intricate drawings explore the quiet tension between simplicity and complexity. Rooted in an intuitive, meditative practice, Olson’s work reflects a deep curiosity about the layered nature of time, experience, and the human journey. Each piece begins with a single line guided not by a fixed blueprint but by the fluid dialogue between hand, mood, and moment. This evolving process mirrors the structure of life itself: unpredictable, shaped by unseen forces, yet ultimately coherent and meaningful. Olson's drawings are both contemplative and expansive, inviting viewers to pause and reflect on the subtle, often overlooked decisions and rhythms that compose a day, a month, a year. Her work reminds us that beauty and significance are not always found in grand gestures, but in the quiet accumulation of simple acts and moments.

Mike Smoller.  Mike Smoller is an abstract artist currently living and working in Austin, Texas, who began his journey in the art world at the age of 14 by purchasing a fine art copy of Picasso's Femme starting a life long love affair with abstract art.  His earliest works (which date from the 1970's) were strongly influenced by Agam, Stella and Vasarely, and consist of hard edge geometrics.  As his art matured his style became more organic using forms which still reflected his fascination with the interplay of color and composition.
