All Things New

October 23 – November 23, 2025

Opening reception: Saturday, October 25, 5-7pm

All Things New features the work of narrative realist artist Lawrence Jolly. Jolly’s figurative, nature, and interpretive paintings combine with ‘discovered’ dimensional objects creating a visual compendium of the human condition. In All Things New, visual ascendency is accorded to old, common, and banal 3D artifacts and brought together in a cerebral milieu of painted imagery, dimensional iconography, typography, and precious leaf. Together and separately, these artworks and their elements explore how our humanity is manifested through various relationships with ourselves, our technology, other humans, the divine nature, and nature itself.

“As a visual storyteller, I like to find hidden meaning, life lessons, human emotions, or statements reflecting divine presence—while exploring themes like national and social constructs, courage, conflict, transcendency, and mortality. I don’t intentionally create or even search for these connections. They most often just simply present themselves. I notice them.” All Things New affirms the beauty of disparate elements as inter-related expressions of life when seen through the observant eye.
