W. Lee Rowan

Introducing W. Lee Rowan. A native of Miami, Florida, Lee has painted most of his life. He studied Advertising Art at the University of Florida and after graduation, became a commissioned officer in the Air Force. Before Lee retired from the Air Force, he turned to art as a way to balance his personal experiences of military life. Lee studied oil painting in New Orleans and has shown successfully in galleries there, in Tampa, and in Miami. Lee’s work is in many countries around the world. He was artist in residence at the Crown Plaza Hotel, Qatar, while working for the Air Force. Big Pieces is over-sized portraiture that provides strong and striking imagery.
