More About the Artists

Kiah Denson

Denson creates movement in her work to cultivate a certain stillness within, transforming and organizing visceral energy and experience into something visible and tangible. Her active mind quiets as she gets lost in each piece; painting and drawing become meditative and therapeutic. She utilizes the natural unpredictability and fluidity of her materials – acrylic, ink, watercolor & spray paint – to explore various processes, aesthetics and techniques. She creates and solves her own problems, both visually and internally, as each work evolves into its own unique puzzle.

Christina Green-Martinez

Green-Martinez uses art as a medium to express and share her personal perspective of life and a shared appreciation of the medium and the image. In her more recent work, she seeks to capture images or feelings that she finds intriguing or that have intrinsic beauty. After attending a lecture by philosopher, architect and philanthropist Buckminster Fuller, she gained a new awareness of the physical world, both seen and unseen, from the microcosm to the macrocosm and the energy that flows throughout. Christina believes that all is connected.
