More About the Artists

Meena Matai

Meena Matai creates vivid and lively abstract art with detailed designs that showcase a balance betweenspontaneity and introspection. Originally from India, she grew up in a family of engineers and educators, and despite pursuing a career in electrical engineering, art remained a constant passion throughout her life. Now, as an artist, engineer, mother, educator, and community organizer, she strives to find balance in her many roles.  Meena Matai.

Terry Chastain

Chastain’s painterly monotypes are narratives, exploring the lonely landscapes of sea and sky, a cross between the Hudson River School and Victorian Steampunk. They are thoughtful and quiet, for one does not need to shout.  Terry Chastain.

Christina Green-Martinez

Green-Martinez enjoys the simple presence of painting from her environment.  Plein air, life drawing and character portraits draw her into the moment where she can engage in a direct visual conversation with the subject.  Christina Green-Martinez.
