More About the Artists

Leslie Kell

Kell's artwork is created using an original technique that synthesizes the artistry of design and photography. She works with natural forms to create surreal environments in which her photos are assembled into the spaces and patterns of her drawings. As these elements interact to create the highlights, shadows, and contours of the new image, they unfold to deeper discoveries within the composition. She creates the works within Collections that are based on original poetry adding another layer to the narrative. Leslie Kell

Helen Mary Marek

Marek is a visual and graphic artist that creates decorative art and jewelry utilizing a range of new and repurposed materials, photography, and traditional media. She often incorporates beads, rocks, branches, string, and other items into her abstract and impressionist art. She enjoys working with different materials and seeing the often surprising juxtaposition and interplay of the different elements. Helen Mary Marek

Mac Teg

Teg, as an illustrator, strives to capture the essence of a moment or a character through their art. Drawing on their background in graphic design, they seek to imbue their work with texture and simplicity, using dynamic lines and high contrast to illustrate a world that straddles the line between the real and the unreal. In their  creative process, they draw inspiration from a wide range of sources, from classic animation and comic books to contemporary street art and graphic design.
