Listening to Stillness...When we sit in stillness and listen to the silence, there is much information to be had. I believe this past year the messages received were many. Maybe it is just that in the forced stillness we were able to hear them more. I have attempted to portray these messages- the energy, emotions, ideas, thoughts, and visions through my paintings. I hope that these can be perceived in my work. —Greta
Greta has been creating fascinating new work and exploring her existing series further. With the time spent at home during lockdown, she has been “playing,” which is where she says creativity lives. Exploring new materials led to the production of these innovative works.

Greta Olivas is an Austin based abstract artist with over 10 years of experience in creating art. She is known for her ethereal “Cosmos Series” paintings resembling outer space as well as her collage work “Ruins Series”.
